Digital Impressions:

We utilize this “cutting edge” technology that allows Dentists/Oral Surgeons to create a virtual, computer-generated replica of the hard and soft tissues of the mouth using an optical scanning device. The digital technology captures clear and highly accurate impression data in mere minutes without the need for traditional impression materials or “goopy material” that had to be put in your mouth to create a traditional impassion. 

The Digital impressions capture all of the details of the teeth and gums while eliminating the patient ‘s need to hold the unpleasant, distasteful impression material in his/her mouth that can cause many patients to “Gag”.  The digital impression is captured using an intra oral wand that moves over the surface of the teeth and soft tissue.  Our impression system uses a chair side monitor to display the highly accurate image as it is captured.  

The Digital impressions increase efficiency and accuracy and make it possible for us to e-mail the virtual impressions to the laboratory and our referring dentists. The digital impressions create a digital flow for our implant practice allowing accurate computer guided surgical guides for surgical implant planning and placement as well as to facilitate our referring doctors with the fabrication of prosthetic components.
